About

It's fun and rewarding for me to photograph weddings. I always enjoy getting to know a couple, just a little, and spending part of their wedding day with them.

I am a true photojournalist. I worked as a staff photographer at Seattle Times for ten years before before going out on my own.

When photographing a wedding I prefer to let the day unfold naturally. I think this makes the best photos, as well as contributes to the best experience for all. Unobtrusiveness is a goal of mine. Many clents tell me after that they hardly noticed me.

I have been recognized by the Wedding Photojournalist Association, Associated Press, Society of Professional Journalists, Lowell Thomas Travel Awards, and Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar for my work.

I was also part of team of photographers that was a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize in news photography while at The Seattle Times.

I have been published in People Magazine, Sunset Magazine, US Weekly, Seattle Metropolitan, Seattle Metropolitan Bride and Groom, Seattle Bride Magazine, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, Newsweek, Wine Spectator Magazine, Redbook Magazine, ComputerWorld Magazine, The Times of London, The Guardian, LeMonde, The Boston Globe, among other publications.

I have also worked for Microsoft, Starbucks, JPMorgan Chase, Washington Mutual, T Mobile, Tully's Coffee among other local and national corporations.

I have worked in over ten foreign countries covering news.
